Please read: indicative estimates only
The numbers on this page are indicative estimates for guidance only — not financial or insurance advice. Actual premiums and cover depend on the insurer's underwriting, your health profile and policy terms. Please confirm with the insurer or an IRDAI-registered advisor before deciding.
How it works
We start from an illustrative individual base premium (non-metro) for the eldest member's age band and chosen sum insured, then apply indicative multipliers: metro city ×1.15, and family-floater scaling (2 members ×1.6, 3 ×2.0, 4 ×2.3, 5 ×2.6, 6 ×2.9). The result is rounded to the nearest ₹100. Real premiums also reflect medical history, pre-existing diseases, room-rent capping, waiting periods and insurer discounts.
What is a family floater health plan?
A family floater covers all listed family members under one sum insured. Any member can use the full cover in a policy year, which usually works out cheaper than separate individual policies.
Why does health premium rise with age?
Older members claim more often, so insurers price by the eldest member's age band. Our estimator applies illustrative age multipliers from 1.0x (18-35) up to 4.5x (66+).
Are these premium figures guaranteed?
No. These are indicative estimates from illustrative tables. Actual premiums depend on insurer underwriting, medical history, room-rent limits, waiting periods and discounts.
